What you will need when you apply:

  • Personal information of individual (birthday, physical address, contact info - phone and/or email)

  • Valid Government issued ID

  • Tax ID Number (TIN) - this is a SSN, or ITIN (we need the IRS letter with the ITIN) - no TIN, no problem!! We can still help!

Depending on your circumstance, here are other items that may be required:

  • Personal Representative/Fiduciary accounts also need the court document appointing who the personal representative is

  • Guardianship/Conservatorship accounts also need the court document appointing who the guardian is

  • Trust accounts also need a Certificate of Trust - we have those and can help complete it. We will take a Certificate of Trust letter from an attorney if it is notarized.

  • An Estate account also needs the court documents appointing the personal representative of the estate.

  • Business accounts need the entity documents identifying who the owner(s) of the business is. For a Sole Proprietorship, you will need their registration letter.

Step 2 – Set up Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments

Remember to have all your automatic payments switched to your new Granite account. Complete this form and submit it to your employer to start using Direct Deposit, or change an existing Direct Deposit arrangement. Close old account once switches are complete.
