On Course Student Scholarship

$3,500 Scholarship

The On Course Student Scholarship is a long-time tradition at Granite. We’re always there to help you make life happen by staying on the course of learning. Each year at our Annual Meeting in February, four high school seniors are awarded a $3,500 scholarship to assist with the cost of post-high school education so you can make the transition from high school to higher education smooth sailing.

Applications are accepted starting in January. You need to be a member of Granite Credit Union to be eligible. So, if you don’t already have an account with us, open one up - it’s easy!

Lynn Kuehne Legacy Scholarship

Lynn Kuehne’s legacy

As President and CEO of Granite Credit Union from July 2009 to October 2021, Lynn Kuehne left a legacy of service embodying the credit union industry’s motto of “people helping people”. His involvement in the credit union industry spanned seven decades. As a tribute to Lynn’s lifetime of service to Granite and the credit union industry, a scholarship has been named in his behalf.

This $5,000 scholarship will be awarded by Granite’s Executive Team annually to four youth between the ages of 12 and 17 each October.

To be eligible, the youth must be a member of Granite Credit Union and submit a 2-minute video essay/presentation on “Why/How I Benefit from Being a Credit Union Member”.

Applications open late summer/early fall.
